5. Let hot water run in the tub and only turn it off once the level already covers the rubber part of your plunger. When ready, position it right on top of the hole. 6. A plumbing snake or snake drain is a great tool for removing clogs. Simply insert it into the drain and turn the crank clockwise to push it forward. Once it touches on something solid, keep on turning the handle. Doing so will break the clog into smaller pieces. When you feel that the wire is already moving freely inside, slowly pull it out and dispose of the waste that you retrieved from your pipe.
